This year’s headliner is the hot, young country group,
Emerson Drive. Currently their popular song, “You Still Own Me”, is number 23 on
the Country National Airplay charts. The five-man group is from Bowling Green,
Kentucky. Their first CD brought them top-twenty hits, “A Good Man”, and
“Moments”. Alabama’s, Teddy Gentry and record producer, Josh Leo, drove to
Bowling Green to see the band perform and Leo signed them up immediately. Gentry
added, “I was blown away with the bank. This is possibly the best band I’ve
heard in years as far as playing live on a stage.” Ms. Phifer indicated
that the remainder of the musical lineup had not been completed by they were
close and would likely have a second news conference in early March to announce
the day’s complete musical lineup.
